Man struck by hit-and-run driver in southeast DC
WASHINGTON - Police are investigating a hit and run accident that injured a pedestrian in southeast D.C. The accident happened in the outbound lanes of Suitland Parkway at Firth Sterling Avenue around 3:40 a.m.
Investigators say an adult male was struck by a driver of vehicle who then sped off.
The man is in serious condition at this time.
Drivers can expect heavy traffic in the area while police continue their investigation.
