Man police say abducted wife, child in Virginia arrested in New York

A man police say abducted and assaulted his wife and child earlier this year in Virginia has been arrested in New York, officials announced Wednesday.

Investigators say 37-year-old Osman Osman was arrested in Manhattan Beach, New York on Tuesday. Officers say Osman assaulted and temporarily abducting his wife and child on Saturday, March 24 in Chantilly and then fled the region for New York.

He faces several charges including abduction and the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. Osman is awaiting extradition to Fairfax County.
