Man killed on Anacostia Riverwalk Trail, suspect on mountain bike sought, DC police say
WASHINGTON - Authorities are searching for a killer after they said a man's body was discovered on the Anacostia Riverwalk Trail in Southeast D.C. on Wednesday.
D.C. police said 37-year-old Victor Williams, of Southeast D.C., was found on the trail near south of the 3300 block of East Capitol Street at about 8:30 a.m.
Williams was suffering from several gunshot wounds when he was officers arrived, according to police. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The DC Humane Rescue Alliance also responded to the scene.
Authorities said a suspect is believed to be a man in his 30s last seen wearing all black with a red baseball cap and was riding a red mountain bike.
Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the police at 202-727-9099. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered to anyone who provides information that leads to an arrest and conviction in this case.
