Man killed in vehicle accident in Adelphi

ADELPHI, Md. - A man was killed Tuesday morning during a two vehicle accident in Adelphi.

Police say the accident happened around 7:30 a.m. along the 10000 block of Riggs Road. The victim was the driver of one of the vehicles and was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver, also a man, was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Riggs Road, between Mistletoe Place and Towhee Avenue, was closed for several hours before reopening around 10:15 a.m.
