Man killed in Northwest D.C. shooting

WASHINGTON - A man is dead after a shooting Friday night in Northwest D.C.
Police say it happened around 8:25 p.m. in the 5000 block of Arkansas Avenue, Northwest.
They say they found 32-year-old George Ransford of Northwest D.C. suffering from gunshot wounds at the scene. He later died at a nearby hospital.
Police are offering up to $25,000 for information leading to an arrest. Anyone with information is asked to call police at (202) 727-9099.
