Man found dead outside vacant home in Capitol Heights

CAPITOL HEIGHTS, Md. - Prince George's County police are investigating the death of a man found outside of a vacant home in Capitol Heights.

Police say officers responded for a welfare check in the 1300 block of Oates Street at around 4:20 p.m. Wednesday. When they arrived, they located the victim suffering from trauma to the upper body. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are investigating the victim's death as a homicide.
