Man charged with molesting 11-year-old girl at Merrifield Target

MERRIFIELD, Va. - A man has been arrested after he allegedly inappropriately touched an 11-year-old girl inside of a Virginia department store.

Brendon Jennings Cordova, 19, of Vienna is accused touching an 11-year-old girls buttocks at a Target store on District Avenue in Merrifield around 5 p.m. on Saturday.

After the victim left the store, she told her father that a man touched her buttocks while they were inside. The father then called police to report the crime.

Police say the girl's story was confirmed by security video from the store.

Cordova turned himself in at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center on Thursday, June 23 at 8:30 a.m. He was charged with three counts of aggravated sexual battery in connection with the assault at Target.

Detectives are attempting to determine if there are other victims and would like to hear from anyone with information regarding this, or other similar cases.
