WASHINGTON, D.C. - As many gather at Capital One Arena for Trump's inauguration, expensive items like Louis Vuitton bags have been dumped on the sidewalk in order to enter the event.

Just outside of Capital One Arena on 9th and G Street, attendees can be seen discarding their belongings on the sidewalk in order to enter the event in compliance with security requirements.
FOX 5's Stephanie Ramirez witnessed attendees having to ditch pricey bags and items due to the security requirements of the arena. Due to last minute changes, attendees were not aware of the strict security requirements and were forced to make tough decisions, some even staying outside to guard items.

The backstory:
Crowds continued to swell outside of Capital One Arena in downtown Washington, D.C. early Monday for the Presidential inaugural ceremonies.
Because of cold weather, Trump is moving the traditional parade down Pennsylvania Avenue to Washington’s Capitol One Arena. The event is expected to feature remarks from Trump and marching bands.
People started to make their way to the seats at Capital One Arena around 830 a.m.

What we know:
Capital One Arena has implemented a strict no bag policy. Bags, backpacks and purses will not be permitted inside the Arena. Wallet-size clutches no larger than 5" x 7", medical bags and parenting bags no larger than 14" x 14" x 6" will be permitted and subject to security screening.
If you are bringing a medical or parenting bag, please use the entrance on the corner of 6th and F Street.
Capital One Arena reserves the right to refuse items which may cause a danger or disruption to the event or to other guests, or which are in breach of building policies and/or the list of prohibited items.
Capital One Arena will not check or store any of the listed prohibited items.
