Local rapper Tre Da Kid killed in Annapolis shooting

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (FOX 5 DC) - A local rapper was killed in a deadly roadside shooting Friday night in Annapolis.

Police say they found 32-year-old Edward Montre Seay -- known as Tre Da Kid -- of Chester dead in his car after he crashed at Forest Drive and South Cherry Grove Avenue.

According to police, they initially responded to a call of shots fired around 9:20 p.m. Friday on Forest Drive near Newtowne Drive. Seay crashed his car and died of his injuries after being shot, police said.

Baltimore radio station WERQ-FM first reported that the victim was Tre Da Kid. The rapper appeared on Good Day DC in 2016 after winning the title of best freestyle lyricist in the nation. (video below)

Detectives are still investigating. Anyone with information is asked to call Annapolis police at (410) 260-3439. Police are offering up to $2,000 for information leading to an arrest.
