Kid Cudi proves there's no shame in seeking help
LOS ANGELES, CA - It's been a tough week on celebrities. Music artist, Kid Cudi, checked himself into rehab for depression. In a Facebook post he admitted, "Yesterday I checked myself into rehab for depression and suicidal urges… If I didn't come here, I would've done something to myself."
That's a brave admission.
Demi Lovato is struggling as well. She tweeted, "Taking a break from music and the spotlight. I am not meant for this business and the media."
It's not just music artists that are having a bad time. Current heavyweight boxing champion, Tyson Fury, who has recently struggled with depression and cocaine, told Rolling Stone Magazine, "I hope someone kills me before I kill myself."
And star receiver of football's New York Giants, Odell Beckham Jr, told ESPN this week, "I'm not having fun anymore."
If you are depressed, take it from these celebrities -- there's no shame in talking about it and asking for help. Don't be afraid to ask for help.
