Juvenile shot in Southeast D.C., police say
WASHINGTON (FOX 5 DC) - A juvenile male was shot in Southeast D.C. Tuesday evening, police report.
The shooting happened in the 2600 block of Stanton Road, SE, at around 4:16 p.m.
Police say the juvenile was walking on a sidewalk when a suspect stepped off a bus and shot the juvenile in the lower back. The juvenile is conscious and breathing following the shooting.
Officers described the suspect as a black man who may be wearing a blue hooded sweater with tan or khaki pants. Police say they were last seen fleeing toward Douglas Road, SE.
Hours earlier, three people were shot, including a juvenile, in the 3700 block of Ely Place, SE, near the Fort Dupont Ice Arena.
