Humidity returns as another heat wave begins Tuesday; thunderstorms possible later in the day

WASHINGTON (FOX 5 DC) - The heat and humidity return Tuesday as do the chances for thunderstorms later in the day. FOX 5's Mike Thomas says the morning will start pleasant but the temperatures will rise well into the 90s by this afternoon. Heat index values will make it feel even hotter.

The risk for severe weather returns during the late-afternoon, Mike says. Not everyone will see rain but thunderstorms will roll through the area bringing the chance for rain through the evening hours. The heat and humidity with chances for PM thunderstorms will stay with us all week – including on the July 4th holiday.
