Humid Tuesday with threat of afternoon and evening thunderstorms; PM Flash Flood Watch
WASHINGTON (FOX 5 DC) - Another humid start to the morning in the D.C. region Tuesday with the threat of more thunderstorms moving in later this afternoon and evening.
FOX 5's Mike Thomas says Tuesday will play out much like Monday with muggy temperatures in the upper-80s mixed with clouds and sun. The more sun we get increases the likelihood that thunderstorms will move in later this afternoon, Mike says.
Thunderstorms could begin to move into the area sometime between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m., Mike says. More severe weather could develop and continue into the evening hours. A Flash Flood Watch is in place from 2 p.m. until 11 p.m.
Expect more afternoon and evening storms Wednesday and Thursday before summer weather returns Friday. The weekend looks sunny and dry!
