Hot and humid Thursday with chance for afternoon, evening thunderstorms

Get ready for more hot and humid conditions around the D.C region on Thursday with the chance for afternoon and evening thunderstorms. FOX 5's Mike Thomas says expect a sunny, bright and warm start with morning temperatures in the 60s and 70s before things heat up into the 90s again this afternoon.

Scattered storms are possible sometime between the 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. hours, Mike says. Another later round of thunderstorms could move in between the 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. hours.

Wednesday brought us some of the hottest temperatures of the year so far, Mike says, with highs in the low to mid-90s. We'll get some relief from the heat and humidity on Friday with highs around 85 degrees. The weekend looks comfortable with temperatures in the mid-80s but we can't rule out the possibility for thunderstorms each day.
