Homicide investigation underway after man's body found by Bethesda road

Montgomery County Police detectives are investigating a homicide in Bethesda after a man's body was found inside a bag near a bus stop Monday evening.

Police say they received a report of a deceased person in the 10000 block of Old Georgetown Road Monday night at around 5:30 p.m. They say the caller described the body as "being covered by a tarp or some type of bag."

When investigators responded to the scene, they located the body of a man. Police say he may be between 20 to 30 years old and of Hispanic descent.

The man's body was transported to the Office of Medical Examiner for further examination, police say.

Detectives say they "do not believe the homicide occurred at the location where the body was found."

On Tuesday night, police released images of the victim's tattoos and examples of clothing he was wearing to assist in his identification.
