Grab your inner tube: There's a huge water slide coming to Tysons this summer

Remember the days of the Slip'N Slide? If the answer is yes, there's something bigger in your future. Much, much bigger.

Grab your inner tube and a ticket, because if you loved sliding around as a kid, you'll dig this. There's a 1,000-foot long waterslide making its way to the streets of Tysons, va. this summer, and it's known as Slide the City.

If you don't want to get soaked, you might want to skip this one. Slide the City hits cities all over the country, and it's exactly what it sounds like: a huge water slide that covers three city blocks. Even better: It comes with a block party.

Slide the City will tour the country making stops along the way, including two in Virginia. It stops in Richmond on June 18 before coming to Tysons (for the first time ever) later on July 16. In Maryland, the closest stop to DC is Baltimore, which happens on Saturday, May 28.

The deadline for early bird registration for the Tysons Corner stop is May 13. Pricing starts at $10, and anyone who is over the age of 5 and taller than 46 inches is welcome to slide.
