Friday highs in the 80s with showers, storms possible; feels like summer this weekend

Warm and humid temperatures in the 80s are expected Friday with the chance for some scattered showers and storms.

FOX 5's Mike Thomas says keep an eye out for some light rain during the morning hours as a rain system moves in from the west. The best chance for wet morning weather will be between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. as the quick moving storm moves through.

Expect some afternoon sun followed by the chance for more showers and storms as we head into the afternoon and evening. We're at a slight risk for severe weather as those storms come through with the possibility for some heavy downpours and gusty winds and maybe even some hail.

The weekend looks mostly dry with a warm and humid Saturday with highs near 85 degrees. Mike says there will be the chance for storms on Sunday afternoon but we'll also get a summertime preview with temperatures expected to reach 90 degrees.
