FOX 5's news helicopter makes emergency landing in grocery store parking lot

LANHAM, Md. - The helicopter used by FOX 5 for aerial news coverage had to make an emergency landing Friday morning in Prince George's County.

Skyfox made a safe landing at a parking lot next to a Wegman's on Petrie Lane in Lanham at around 7:30 a.m.

Both of the occupants - the helicopter operator and the news photographer - are safe. The aircraft will be moved from the area and inspected.

No injuries to anyone inside the helicopter or on the ground were reported.
