Fire destroys house in Northwest DC

WASHINGTON - Heavy fire destroyed a house in Northwest D.C. Wednesday morning.

The 3-alarm fire happened in the 5800 block of Colorado Avenue around 6:15 a.m. A distress call was made for a missing firefighter who has since been located. He suffered minor injuries.

No other injuries were reported.

The house is believed to be vacant. No cause for the fire has been determined.
