Titled "Wonder Woman 1984," the upcoming film is expected to be released in theaters in 2019.

Prior filming for the sequel has been seen in Georgetown, Penn Quarter neighborhood and at the abandoned Landmark Mall in Alexandria, Virginia in recent months.
