Elderly woman with Alzheimer's located, police say

ASPEN HILL, Md. (FOX 5 DC) - UPDATE: Police say Evelyn Louise Jackson has been located safe and unharmed.

Police are asking for help in their search for a missing elderly woman with Alzheimer's.

Officers say 86-year-old Evelyn Louise Jackson from Aspen Hill last spoke with family members by telephone at around 1:00 p.m. on Monday.

Authorities say the family was unsure of her location at the time of the phone call and have been unable to contact her since then. Family members told police that Evelyn is familiar with public transportation.

Officials describe her as an African American female, 5-feet-1-inch tall, 150 pounds with gray hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
