Drone, K9 units used in search for missing man in Loudoun County

LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va. - Authorities are searching the Hamilton area of Loudoun County for a missing man after finding his abandoned vehicle earlier this week.

Members of the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office say they spotted the vehicle near Piggott Bottom Road and Swanbourne Drive Tuesday night and determined it belonged to the man who was reported missing.

Family members say they last say him in the area of Fairfax.

In addition to scouring the area on foot, search and rescue crews are using the departments helicopter, K9 unit and drone in the search.
