Downed trees, power outages in northern Virginia following night of storms
FALLS CHURCH, Va. - Thursday night's severe weather left behind power outages and downed trees for residents of northern Virginia.
Over a thousand power outages were reported during the height of the storm.
Emergency crews in Fairfax County were cleaning up the damage caused by a large tree falling into a house on Dearborn Drive in Falls Church.
Some scattered evening storms are in the forecast for Friday. Dry weather is expected for much of the weekend.
