Death of Southeast DC 3-year-old ruled a homicide

D.C. police said on Tuesday that the death of a 3-year-old who was found unconscious at a home in Southeast in March has been ruled a homicide.

Police responded to the home in the 1900 block of Savannah Terrace, Southeast around 12:47 a.m. on Friday, March 15.

When they arrived, they found the girl, who was taken to a local hospital.

The child succumbed to her injuries at the hospital.

This week, police said a medical examiner had determined that the child’s death was caused by blunt force trauma.

The victim was identified as Anniebelle Marsh.

Police have not indicated whether anyone has been arrested or if they have any suspects in connection with the case.
