DC weather forecast: Severe thunderstorm watch, flood risk Sunday night
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch and Flood Watch remain in effect for parts of the D.C. region as strong storms track across the area.
WASHINGTON - After a gorgeous Saturday, storms came to the DMV on Sunday, bringing heavy rain and even a brief tornado warning in Maryland.
Severe thunderstorm watch
The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm watch for most of the region south of Baltimore until 11 p.m. Sunday, and a Flood Watch until 3 a.m. Monday morning.

In parts of Maryland, the winds got so rough, the National Weather Service briefly issued a tornado warning for parts of Prince George's County and Charles County Sunday night and a Severe Thunderstorm Warning in Charles County.
Thousands without power in Virginia
By the numbers:
As of 10 p.m. Sunday, Dominion is reporting thousands of customers without power across Loudoun, Fairfax and Prince William counties, with more than 3,500 customers impacted in Loudoun County, alone.
Crews estimate power will be restored between 11 p.m. Sunday and 4 a.m. Monday.

After the threat passes, Cornejo said we may see some lingering showers overnight.
But, as we enter the new week, Monday is expected to be in the 90s, Tuesday will be "nice and comfortable," Cornejo said, with temperatures in the high 80s and low dew points.
