DC police investigating deadly Northeast stabbing

WASHINGTON - A man is dead after a stabbing in Northeast Thursday morning, according to D.C. police.

The victim has not been identified, nor have police indicated whether any suspect information is available.

Police responded to scene in the 1500 block of Benning Road shortly after it was reported around 9:30 a.m.

Benning Road eastbound has been shut down near the scene.

Police are asking people to use 19th Street, Maryland Avenue, or Bladensburg Road Northeast while officers remain at the scene.
