DC 4th worst city for driving, study says

D.C. was ranked the fourth worst city for driving in the United States, according to a recently published study.

The WalletHub study factored cost, traffic, infrastructure, safety, access to vehicles and maintenance while calculating the best and worst cities for drivers.

San Francisco came in as the worst city for drivers, while Oakland and Detroit beat out D.C. for the second and third worst cities.

D.C. was tied with five other cities for the highest number of annual hours spent in congestion per commuter and ranked fourth highest for both accident likelihood and parking rates.

The three best cities for drivers were Corpus Christi, Texas, Gilbert, Arizona, and Greensboro, North Carolina, according to WalletHub.
