D.C. firefighters say arson is to blame for an overnight house fire

D.C. firefighters say arson is to blame for a house fire in southeast D.C. overnight.

The fire broke out around 2 a.m. in the 3900 block of Wheeler Road.

Someone used an accelerant to set the house on fire, according to fire officials.


No residents were hurt. but one firefighter was injured battling the blaze. The fire damaged two other homes next door.

So far no one is in custody.The investigation is continuing.
