Crash on George Washington Parkway causes major delays near Reagan National Airport

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (FOX 5 DC) - The northbound lanes of the George Washington Parkway are closed in the Alexandria area after a crash earlier this morning.

The roadway is closed between Slaters Lane and Reagan National Airport. The left lane of southbound George Washington Parkway is blocked at Reagan National Airport.

FOX 5's Erin Como say detoured traffic is causing backups along Route 1 as well.

At least one person was transported with injuries. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
