WASHINGTON - Commanders fans are gearing up for the team's primetime matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
There’s an anxious excitement about this game.
It's in the high stakes of the playoffs — win and advance or lose and the dream Commanders season ends.
FOX 5 spoke with fans at Sports and Social Bethesda who are currently that mix of nervous, excited and confident.
"I’m a little nervous! I’m actually really nervous," Ileana Benitez. "Because I know we’re going to win, but still, it’s like, give or take."
"It's the whole team," Mauricio Benitez said. "They’re playing like a real team right now and yeah. I expect Jayden to do better. He’s running. The whole team is working out. And I think we got it."
One fan said he’s very confident because this is the second time the Commanders and Buccaneers have faced off and that quarterback Jayden Daniels has come a long way from the team’s week one loss.
"It’s crazy because he’s a rookie but it’s his second time seeing them. Everybody he sees a second time, he gets them, so it’s like, the first time, you know he had a couple rookie mistakes. This time, he knows where he made those mistakes. Come back. Correct them. Get this W," Aaron Addison said.
Kickoff is at 8 p.m.
