Civil War-era weapons found in Maryland home

SHARPSBURG, Md. - A man discovered three Civil War era weapons in his basement yesterday.

The Maryland Fire Marshal's Office says the man found a cannonball and two Parrot rounds in his house Monday afternoon in Sharpsburg, MD.

The man moved the items from his house before notifying authorities. The Fire Marshal's office says if anyone finds what they think could be an explosive, do not move it, call 911 first.

No one was injured in this incident. The devices were rendered safe.
