Bowling alley worker struck with bowling ball, stool during attack caught on surveillance video

Police are searching for suspects seen on surveillance video punching and kicking a bowling alley worker before striking him in the head with a bowling ball.

Officers say the incident happened Wednesday at the Apollo Lanes in Roseville, Michigan. Investigators say the incident began after the worker asked a group he said was causing a disturbance to leave the bowling alley. The group surrounded the counter where surveillance video captured the graphic attack.

The video shows one man walk behind the counter and punch the worker. At one point during the video, a second man throws a stool at the worker before heaving a bowling ball at him, striking the victim in the back of the head. After the worker fell to the ground, video shows the men continue to kick him.

Police say the victim is a 28-year-old Roseville resident who was hospitalized.

Officers have identified one of the suspects but are still trying to identify the man they believe threw the bowling ball. He is described as a black male in his early 20s. He was wearing a black baseball hat, white t-shirt with a black short sleeve button up, and black pants.
