Body of male found shot dead inside vehicle in Accokeek identified
ACCOKEEK, Md. - Police are investigating the apparent murder of a man in Accokeek.
Investigators say 28-year-old Timothy Sherod of Lavall Court was found in the driver's seat of a car parked in the 3300 block of St Marys View Road Monday morning.
An alert neighbor who spotted the body flagged down an officer. Police checked out the car and say it appears someone shot Sherod.
Neighbors tell Fox 5 they noticed the car sitting there as early as the night before.
