Barricade situation develops following armed carjacking in Northeast DC

WASHINGTON - There was a heavy police presence in Northeast D.C. Wednesday morning as officers responded to a barricade situation that developed following an armed carjacking.

The incident occurred around 11:28 p.m. Suspects were involved in an armed carjacking that occurred in the 1400 block of H St NE which turned into a pursuit.
The pursuit ended in the 1200 block of 18th Pl., NE when the suspects ran into a building, which resulted in a barricade.
The barricade has ended with no arrests. This case remains under investigation at this time.
No injuries have been reported at this time.
