Baby bear takes trip to Dairy Queen drive-thru

A Canadian bear got a sweet treat, but the trip went sour for his handlers earlier this year.

The bear was getting his last licks at a drive-thru Dairy Queen in Alberta, Canada.

A video, posted on social media in January by Discovery Wildlife Park, shows the 1-year-old Kodiak bear leaning out a truck's window and being hand-fed ice cream by the owner of the shop.

Now the wildlife park is facing charges.

The zoo is being charged under the Wildlife Act for taking the bear out without informing the authorities.

The trainer reportedly said that there the public was in no way in any danger because the bear was secured by a chain and the video was shot before the Dairy Queen had opened for the day.
