Authorities: Man armed with box cutter jumped over counter, stole prescription meds from pharmacy
CHANTILLY, Va. - Loudoun County investigators want the public's help in identifying a man suspected in a robbery and attempted robbery at two Chantilly pharmacies.
Both of the crimes occurred Tuesday night. Deputies say the man first attempted to rob the CVS Pharmacy on Pinebrook Road at about 6:45 p.m. but was unsuccessful. They say he then hit the pharmacy inside a Giant Foods store on Riding Plaza just 15 minutes later. During the incident, the man, who was armed with a box cutter, jumped over the pharmacy counter and demanded prescription medications, according to police.
Authorities describe the suspect as a white male, 35 to 40 years old, with a light colored goatee. They also added that he was wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt, brown pants, tan colored shoes and dark gloves at the time of the incidents.
