Attempted abduction suspect sought by Fairfax County police
ALEXANDRIA, Va. - Police are looking for a man who allegedly tried to abduct a teenage girl near the intersection of North Kings Highway and Fairhaven Avenue in the Alexandria area of Fairfax County in October.
On Tuesday, officials have released a sketch of the suspect.
Police say the man approached the victim on Saturday, Oct. 20 at 2:20 p.m. and tried to pull her into his car - which was described as a red Chevrolet Cruze. The victim was able to escape and she provided a description of the suspect.
Police explained that it took more than two weeks to notify the public about the alleged abduction due to a language barrier between the sketch artist and the victim.
