Apparent Trump-related vandalism at Silver Spring church

SILVER SPRING, Md. - A sign outside the Episcopal Church of Our Savior in Silver Spring appears to have been marked with political vandalism.

The vandalized sign, posted outside the church, reads "Misa en Espanol," indicating that masses are offered in Spanish at the church, and lists mass times. On the back, someone appears to have scrawled "Trump nation, whites only" in black marker.

Biship Mariann of the Episcopal Diocese of Washington posted on Facebook that he is "heartsick" over the vandalism and "can only imagine how the people of Our Savior, one of the most culturally diverse parishes in the diocese, feel."

"I will be with Our Saviour's Spanish-language congregation for Mass at 1 pm, and I invite as many of you as are able to join me there," he wrote.
