After being shot man drives himself to Bladensburg Police Department

A man drove himself to the Bladensburg, Maryland Police Department after being shot on Tuesday evening, according to officials.

Police say the man told them he was shot at 56th Place and Emerson Street in Bladensburg about a mile away from the police department on Tildon Road.

The Prince George's County Police Department says they found evidence indicating a shooting after canvassing the crime scene.

Authorities say they helped the man who was in critical condition and called him an ambulance at about 9 p.m.

The investigation is ongoing.
