4 in custody after possible robbery in Northeast DC; shot fired at officers, authorities say

Police say four people are in custody after a possible robbery in Northeast, D.C.

Officers were called to the 500 block of H Street around 11 p.m. Tuesday for reports of a person with a gun. When they arrived, police say one person approached them and one shot was fired at officers. Police say they did not return fire.

Authorities say they took four people who they believe were involved in a possible robbery into custody.

No injuries were reported. Police say the suspects attempted to flee the area in a vehicle before they were taken into custody. Officers also say a gun was recovered at 5th and K Streets.

Detours were in place during the investigation but all roads have since reopened. The investigation is continuing at this time.
