DEARBORN HEIGHTS, Mich. (WJBK) - Police are investigating the murders of four children early Wednesday morning at a home in Dearborn Heights.

A man called police around 1 a.m. Wednesday to the home in the 4400 block of Hipp Street, which is near Annapolis and Pelham streets. Police say when they arrived the man was waiting for them on his porch.
Police say he told investigators on the scene that he killed his family. Police say the man was the father of some of the children and a stepfather to others.
He is now in custody, and police say the neighborhood is not under any kind of safety threat.
It's unclear what led up to the shooting.
