3 people injured in multiple-car crash on I-295 at Anne Arundel, Prince George's County line

LAUREL, Md. (FOX 5 DC) - Police in Maryland are investigating a serious multiple-car crash on the Baltimore-Washington Parkway at Route 198 in Laurel Sunday afternoon.

Officials say a 20-year-old male with serious and possibly life-threatening injuries was taken to Shock Trauma by Maryland State Police medevac.

A second patient had serious but non-life-threatening injuries according to officials and was taken by paramedics to Shock Trauma. A third patient with minor injuries transported to Howard General.

The Baltimore-Washington Parkway was closed in both directions between 198 and 197 while police and fire investigate.

Anne Arundel County fire, Prince George's County fire are investigating.
