3 men arrested for attacking Uber driver with beer bottle

Three Woodbridge men were arrested and charged for attacking their Uber driver in Arlington over the weekend.

A group of six people were acting belligerent and smelled of alcohol last Saturday night when the driver cut their ride short in the 500 block of S. Washington Boulevard, according to Arlington County police.

Police say Justin Norconk, 26, Lance Ingram, 25, and Jeffery Rowe Jr., 26 were arrested after the three men left belongings behind in the car, shattered a back window and threw a beer bottle at the driver's head that cut his face.

Norconk was charged with malicious wounding and assault by mob. Ingram was also charged with assault by mob. Rowe was charged with destruction of property.

All three suspects are being held without bond.

Uber says the two account holders who requested and split the ride in this incident have been deactivated pending an investigation.

A spokesperson for Uber also issued the following statement:

"Uber expects everyone in our community to treat each other with respect and common courtesy, and we have a zero tolerance policy for all forms of harassment and abuse. We've been in touch with the driver-partner and stand ready to assist the authorities with their investigation."
