3 injured in Southeast DC shooting, police say

Three people have been injured in a shooting in Southeast D.C., according to authorities.

DC police said the shooting happened in the 2500 block of Pomeroy Road, Southeast at about 1:55 p.m.

Officials said three men were injured after someone opened fire on the vehicle they were driving in. Two of the victims suffered gunshot wounds and the other man suffered an unknown injury, according to authorities.

Police said all victims were conscious and breathing. A suspect description was not available, according to officials.

A 16-year-old was shot to death on the same block back in September.
