21CF Impact Week 2018 heads to the Humane Rescue Alliance

WASHINGTON - Day two of 21CF Impact Week 2018 took us to D.C.'s Humane Rescue Alliance.

Volunteers joined staff members to make toys out of recycled t-shirts and tennis balls for rescue dogs to play with during their stay.

David Smith, chief communications officer with the Humane Rescue Alliance, said 500 animals a month come through their doors. Smith says when they have room they bring in animals that are scheduled to be euthanized so that they can have the chance to be adopted.
