16-year-old charged in shooting of taxi driver in Alexandria
ALEXANDRIA, Va. - Police have charged a 16-year-old boy for the shooting of a taxi driver overnight in Alexandria.
Police said officers responded to the shooting just after 2 a.m. Thursday nearby a taxi stand in the 4600 block of Duke Street and found the 47-year-old cab driver shot multiple times.
He was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and is in critical condition, according to police.
The teenager from Lorton, Va., has been charged by Alexandria police with malicious wounding, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
