15-year-old Pittsburgh boy dies of car-surfing head injuries

(AP) -- A 15-year-old Pittsburgh boy has died of head injuries suffered when he was car-surfing last month.

The Allegheny County medical examiner's office says Ronte Nelson-Goines died late Tuesday at UPMC Presbyterian hospital.

He'd been there since Feb. 29, when he either jumped or slid off the truck of a car he was riding on and suffered a serious head injury. The medical examiner's office says he never regained consciousness.

Police were continuing to investigate, but nobody has been charged in connect with the incident.
