11-year-old girl killed in Easter morning go-kart crash in Calvert County
DUNKIRK, Md. (FOX 5 DC) - An 11-year-old girl was killed and two other children were hurt on Easter morning after the go-kart they were driving in overturned in Calvert County. The crash was reported around 11:15 a.m. in the 2300 block of Golf Club Drive in Dunkirk.

Officials say the 11-year-girl, a 12-year-old girl and a 7-year-old boy were driving the go-kart in the cul-de-sac when it flipped over while they were making a turn.
The 11-year-old girl was transported to Children's Hospital in D.C. but later died from her injuries. The 7-year-old boy remains hospitalized in stable condition. The 12-year-old girl was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
The investigation is continuing at this time.
