1 dead after shooting in Prince George's County
SUITLAND, Md. - Prince George's County police said a man has died after a Tuesday afternoon shooting in Prince George's County.
Police said officers were called to an apartment complex in the 3900 block of Southern Avenue at around 2:10 p.m. Tuesday for a call about the shooting.
According to police, a responding officer attempted to perform life-saving measures on the victim before he was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
"We do know our victim was shot multiple times," said Prince George's County Police Cpl. Lamar Robinson. "However, you can see it is a very fluid scene right now, so we are still trying to investigate what happened here, if there was a gun battle or if there was just a single gun. That is what we are trying to figure out right now."
