1st Frost Advisory this fall issued for Tuesday morning

While it has been a very mild fall, the weather for the D.C. region is beginning to feel more fall-like as the first Frost Advisory of the season has been issued for Tuesday morning.

The National Weather Service says the Frost Advisory will be in effect from 2 a.m. to 9 a.m. as temperatures will drop in the mid-30s for the majority of areas that are north and west of Washington D.C.

A Frost Advisory means that widespread frost is expected and those with sensitive outdoor plants should cover them or bring them inside to protect them from being damaged or killed.

Temperatures will rise back to the mid-60s with mostly sunny skies later in the day on Tuesday.
